In a valuation engagement, a written or oral report is a communication containing the conclusion of value, or the indication of value of a subject interest.
There are three types of valuation reports that The Valuations and Forensics Advisory, LLC., can issue as a result of an engagement. These are a Detailed Report, a Summary Report, or a Calculation of Value Report.

In a Calculation of Value Engagement, the report is based on the specific agreed upon procedures and methodologies to be used in the engagement. The results of this type of service is reported as an Indication of Value, not a conclusion of value, and may be expressed as a range.
These differences center on whether an opinion of value was reached as result of the engagement, or whether the engagement was designed to offer a calculation of an indication of value, which is a level of valuation service where the valuation analyst and the client agree upon the specific assumptions and approaches the valuation analyst will use and the procedures that he/she will perform.
In Forensic & Litigation Support Engagements. When the issues in a litigation case are to be decided by a trier of fact, the form and content of a report for use in a litigation case may be specified by retaining legal counsel, the Rules of Civil Procedure, federal and/or state, or by other applicable judicial requirement particular to the case.
